Love Is All We Need

Lonely, depressed, anxious, sad, worried and hopeless are only a few words to describe how the world is feeling about all that is going on in Israel. Innocent men, women and children are being murdered.  It's scary to realize that this genocide is a current day holocaust situation.

Everyone is carrying around a lot of emotional baggage these days with evil seeming to be lurking everywhere you look.  If it's not the senseless killings in Israel, it's the reaction of some believing that these attacks are justified.  The threats happening around the United States towards the Jewish communities have been frightening.  Frightening isn’t profound enough.  Stomach turning, unnerving, disconcerting, nauseating are only the surface of feelings that come to mind.

When scary things like this happen in life, it’s easy to fold inward and get wrapped up in all your emotions.  You keep watching the news and reading the articles, slipping further and further away from being ok.  You lose all hope in humanity and believe the majority supports the evilness in this world.

The truth is, people are so wrapped up in their hopelessness that they forget that a little love goes a long way.  I truly believe there is much more love than evil in this world but evil is heard like a catastrophic explosion, where love more often is soft whisper.

When you are sitting in the overwhelming emotions of hopelessness, sometimes it is hard to think outside yourself and support others. Although, this is exactly what we need to be doing.  We need to reach out to our family, friends and neighbors and let them know we are there for them. Help them believe in the good even if they are too weary to see it. We will show it to them first hand and it won't be so much of a whisper anymore.  Outpour love to others and you will feel a little less scared and hopeless yourself.  Remember the good, be the good and spread love.
